What is an HOA?

An HOA or Homeowner Association is a legal entity created to manage and maintain the common areas of a community. These common elements or common areas consist of Minotaur Village are:
- the land and easements which are part of the property;
- the foundations; columns; girders, beams, and supports of a building;
- the exterior walls of a building; the main or bearing walls within a building; the main or sub flooring and the roofs of a building;
- all other parts of the Condominium Project necessary in common use or convenient to its existence, maintenance, and safety.
HOAs may consist of single family homes, condominiums, or town homes and are typically setup by the original developer of the community with a set of rules called "Declaration of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions" otherwise known as "CC&Rs".
One of the primary functions of the HOA is enforce and ensure that these "CC&Rs" are adhered to by the individual homeowners. The guiding principals of these regulations are to help maintain property values, consistant living standard, and the quality of life within the community.
